Here we present to you a French department located just minutes from Paris. It is actually the 28th department named Eure-et-Loir. First, its capital and prefecture is Chartres, and in addition, it has 3 sub-prefectures named Châteaudun, Dreux, and Nogent-le-Rotrou.

This 28th department is actually part of the Centre-Val-de-Loire region and takes its name from a river of the same name, or rather two rivers called the Eure and the Loir. These waterways then flow through the Sarthe.
