What is the climate like in the Corrèze department?

First of all, the climate of Corrèze is characterized by a large amount of precipitation. This is caused by the large amount of rain, hail, and violent storms most of the time. In fact, this climate is the result of the fact that in the said Corrèze department, the atmosphere is somewhat degraded. And this slightly divergent climate compared to its neighbors extends from the Brive basin to the approach of the Millevaches castle.

Also, this type of climate is called the Aquitaine type climate. It is somewhat similar to an oceanic (Atlantic) climate combined with a continental type climate. This is therefore somewhat evenly subdivided across the different reliefs that make up the entire department.

On the other hand, winter is characterized by mild cold with a little snow. However, summer is very hot although very stormy with strong winds and a lot of rain. As one gets closer to the Limousin plateau, precipitation increases more and more. When going towards the western part of the Massif Central, there is a lot of very heavy snow and a lot of bad weather with frequent storms.
